Aim: Diagnostic Review/Blog Sign-up
Warm-up: Students will sign out a computer in pairs.
Procedures:
- Chocolate War Quest.
- Project instructions.
- Assist students in signing up and blogging.
- Students will then spend some time looking through websites and magazines for someone they admire.
Tuesday

Aim: Dictionary/Vocabulary Lesson
Warm-up: "Top Ten" Literary Elements
Procedures:
- Create a personal dictionary.
- Use purple text to copy definitions of top ten elements.
Wednesday
– 9/16/2009
Aim: Vocabulary Cont. [Lit. Elements & Short Story]
Warm-up: Collect a copy of Speak and take a number from the tin box.
Procedures:
- Write that # in the book.
- Complete the Top Ten words.
Thursday
– 9/17/2009
Aim: Blog Entry Review/Discipline Based Goals
Warm-up: Pull a quote from the tin box and interpret it on the reverse side.
Procedures:
- Interpretation review.
- Students will write and record their 30 second goal speech.
Friday
– 9/18/2009
Aim: Goal Recording
Warm-up: Gather materials to complete "Goal" postings.
Procedures:
- Goal uploading continued.
