Aim: Diagnostic Review/Blog Sign-up

Warm-up: Students will sign out a computer in pairs.

Procedures:

1. Chocolate War Quest.
   
2. Project instructions.
3. Assist students in signing up and blogging.
4. Students will then spend some time looking through websites and magazines for someone they admire.

Aim: Dictionary/Vocabulary Lesson

Warm-up: "Top Ten" Literary Elements

Procedures:

1. Create a personal dictionary.
2. Use purple text to copy definitions of top ten elements.

Wednesday
– 9/16/2009

 

Aim: Vocabulary Cont. [Lit. Elements & Short Story]

Warm-up: Collect a copy of Speak and take a number from the tin box.

Procedures:

1. Write that # in the book.
2. Complete the Top Ten words.

 

 

Thursday
– 9/17/2009

 

Aim: Blog Entry Review/Discipline Based Goals

Warm-up: Pull a quote from the tin box and interpret it on the reverse side.

Procedures:

1. Interpretation review.
2. Students will write and record their 30 second goal speech.

 

 

Friday
– 9/18/2009

 

Aim: Goal Recording

Warm-up: Gather materials to complete "Goal" postings.

Procedures:

1. Goal uploading continued.
